Nollywood mourns as actor, Gbenga Akintunde passes away.

Some of the late Akintunde's colleagues, who had worked closely with him like Toyin Adewale, Dejo Tunfulu and Mistura Asunramu took to their individual Instagram pages to eulogize the late actor.

Actor and producer, Kunle Afod had announced the death of Akintunde on his Instagram post on Thursday, January 3, 2018. He wrote: "You called yesterday to confirm if I will still be holding my new year party today and I was called this afternoon that you are no more... BURGER, Heard u went to the hospital to complain about malaria this afternoon and in few hours u are in the mortuary... this is so sad ......Planning to celebrate you in few days time ...imagine the shock and tears ..Oye olorun''.

Gbenga Akintude popularly known as 'Burger' died after a brief illness.

His family is yet to release a statement following his date but we will keep you updated as the story updates.

He continued in his Secondary Education at prospect high school Aban-la, Oluyole local government area Ibadan, Oyo state. Nigeria where he was made a Janitor Prefect in 1995/1996 set. He later proceeded to the pollythecnic Ibadan (Eruwa Campus) where he obtained his mass communication certificate. He is now self employed.
