Birthdays are special occasions that many people usually look forward to. It is a time for them to be thankful and reflect on how the past year went as they appreciate the life they have lived. Gone are the days when African royalties were seen as people who did not mingle freely with everybody. Social media has been able to bridge the gap between royalty and commoners as these royal highnesses also love to be celebrated by their fans and well-wishers. Just recently, the Alaafin of Oyo’s 5th wife, Queen Rukayat Abiodun Adeyemi also known as Current @currentalhaja Alhaja clocked 40 years and make a get-together party at one of his heart-throb's palace hall to celebrate it in a low-key. According to her husband while speaking at the birthday party, Alaafin said: I planned to make her 40th birthday elaborate but my wife said she prefer it in a low-key.
The pretty woman who was obviously in a celebratory mood took to her social media page to share lovely photos of herself with her husband.
Queen Rukayat Abiodun Adeyemi while speaking at her her birthday thanked God for being a year older, she appreciated her husband, Alaafin, as she described him as her mentor, inspirer and motivator. She also appreciated all her senior queens in the palace of the Alaafin of Oyo who are like mothers to her. She also counted her blessings in the form of friends, her parents, associates and her children.
