Fuji Icon, Makaika Mourns Olubadan, Says Monarch Made Lasting Impact.

The fuji megastar, King Sulaiman Alao Adekunle popularly known as MALAIKA has mourned the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji Aje-Ogungunniso who joined his ancestors on Sunday 2nd of January, 2022 as he wrote the condolences messages on his social media handles: "Reposted from @ks1malaika To say I am devastated by your passing into higher glory is an understatement. When I came to the palace less than a month ago, we still discussed plans for the future.

The man who made me, with the help of almighty Allah and mould me into what I am today has gone to rest, from the hardship of this world.

Oba Saliu Akanmu Adeeyo Adetunji, Ajeoguguniso the first, the man with the foresight who discovered a young boy exhibiting his God given talent on the streets of Lagos Island in 1992 and who invited me to come join his record label, OMO AJE RECORDS, even when it was not certain that you would recoup your investment on me.

You were the pillar upon which my success was built. Allah used you to give me a platform, to build my brand and you did not disobey Him, you delivered as Allah sent you. You were so confident that I would become successful and i am grateful that it happened in your lifetime.

Baba Oloye, as I fondly called you, you were more than my promoter, my boss, you were a father, who ensured that I did not lose focus and kept me on my toes, so as to jointly achieve success. I am proud of and grateful for what you did for me, which was why for almost 30 years now, I have also remained loyal to first OMO AJE RECORDS and now BABALAJE MUSIC.

May you rest in peace my dear Kabiyesi and may Allah be with all you left behind, so that your good name would continue to ring loud bells till eternity.

A ku Ara'feraku o gbogbo awa omo Adetunji ni Popo."

The monarch has been buried according to Islamic rites inside a vault in the palace. He was buried some minutes after 4pm on Sunday. The burial prayer was conducted by the Chief Imam of Ibadan, Sheick AbdulGaniyu Abubakry Agbotomokere.
